Co-op Services Credit Union Staff Contribute More than $3,000 to
Childrens Miracle Network
(Jan. 6, 2003) Co-op Services Credit Union staff raised
more than $3,000 during 2002 for Childrens Miracle Network
(CMN), a non-profit organization that provides health care for children
through local hospitals.
The credit unions staff participated
by paying a dollar to dress casually once a week. The funds are
donated to Childrens Miracle Network, which is a recipient
of the "Credit Unions for Kids" program and is supported
by the Michigan Credit Union League (MCUL).
Angie Krogol, senior vice president
of Member Services for Co-op Services Credit Union, chairs MCULs
Childrens Miracle Network Committee. She reports that including
their staffs 2002 contribution, Co-op Services Credit Union
has given approximately $16,500 to CMN during the past four years.
In 2002, Co-op Services Credit Unions
name was engraved on the Beaumont Society Donor Wall at the hospitals
main facility in Royal Oak in recognition for its total giving.
Co-op Services President and CEO
Bob Huston says, "Childrens Miracle Network is another
of the many fine community-based programs that we support throughout
good and difficult times to demonstrate the credit union philosophy
of people helping people."
