Co-op Services Credit Union Joins Fundraising Efforts for Tsunami victims

Livonia, MI (Jan. 25, 2005) – Co-op Services Credit Union has joined with the Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF), in cooperation with the Michigan Credit Union League (MCUL), to raise funds for tsunami disaster victims.

The credit union is encouraging its members and staff to donate to the Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund established by MCUF. All donations collected by the Foundation will be forwarded to the American Red Cross to be put to immediate use.

“Credit union members are like family—locally and around the world. Any efforts we can make are a way to reach out to victims and share the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’,” said Anthony Carnarvon, CEO of Co-op Services Credit Union.

Donations will be collected at any of the credit union’s five branch locations or by mail, effective immediately through March 31, 2005.

Co-op Services Credit Union has approximately 44,000 members, maintaining branch offices in Dearborn, Livonia, Walled Lake, Westland and Downriver. Members also have access to any of 23 Family Service Center shared branches located throughout Michigan.
