Federal Credit Union Participates in "Make a Difference Day"
MI (Nov. 5, 2001) Staff from Community Federal
Credit Union joined more than 2.6 million volunteers nationwide
in the 11th Annual Make a Difference Day--celebrated
this year on Saturday, Oct. 27. Sponsored by USA WEEKEND magazine
and the Points of Light Foundation, it is the countrys largest
day of volunteering.

Day Scholarship Fund to help families of the Sept. 11 tragedy. The
credit union matched employee contributions for a total donation
Community Federal staff joined the efforts of the Plymouth Community
United Way during "Make a Difference Day." Along with
more than 200 community volunteers, they helped nearly 65 senior
citizens get ready for winter by raking leaves, trimming bushes,
changing light bulbs and replacing smoke detector batteries.
Community Federals northern Michigan staff collected bags
of personal care items for a local senior citizen home.
